Kill O Grange Garda Station Closure - 27 April 2013
Kill O'Grange Garda Station closed its doors on 27 April 2013 for the last time. There was a mass at 6pm in Church of the Holy Family followed by a final station visit. Bakers was the venue for the final farewell party. Eddie Ryan describes the last moments in a historical booklet which he compiled for the event....."and so it was on the twenty-seventh day of April in the year of Our Lord 2013, Sergeant Vincent Totterdell led his gallant crew of men and women out of Kill O Grange Garda Siochana station for the last time, thus bringing down the curtain on 166 years of policing there."
